Photography (A/T/M)

Photography (A/T/M)

Images are the language of photography, and are used to represent, question and communicate concepts and ideas. The study of photography enables students to experience photography as producers and as audience members. The course offers students the opportunity to work in black & white darkroom photography and digital photography. Students demonstrating particular interest and aptitude may be offered units from the specialised course. These units offer students further agency to explore innovation, interdisciplinary experimentation and entrepreneurship within the Arts.

Students who are considering further study in the Photography, Visual Arts, Design, Architecture, Web Design, Media and Education should consider this course. More broadly these courses can help students learn about their camera and how to take photos for travel, special events and general interest. The study of Photography equips students with life skills whilst also providing continuity with many tertiary and industry courses.
