Global Studies (A/T/M)
Global Studies is the study of political, economic, social and cultural relationships of the world, promoting intercultural understanding by respectfully addressing sensitive issues arising from diversity of viewpoints, and the rights and responsibilities of individuals.
The Global Studies course teaches students to think critically about key global issues and to develop an understanding of international politics, global economic forces, intercultural relationships, international cooperation, and global citizenship. By developing skills of critical evaluation and reflection, it builds an understanding of different perspectives and ways of life, enabling students to become better informed, reflective, critical global citizens, and change agents. Students will examine the use of multiple, and often contradictory, theories and/or perspectives to see and interpret world systems.
