Politics (A/T/M)
Politics is the study of power, influence, authority, legitimacy, conflict and political systems at both national and global level. Through this study, students explore concepts institutions, processes and practices in a political context to investigate, question, critically analyse and evaluate their personal view of national and global political issues, problems, movements, events and the forces that shape these and responses to them.
Politics provides students with the opportunity to develop their skills in research, analysis and evaluation of information. Using logical and coherent arguments, students will explore the implications and consequences of decisions made by individuals, organisations and governments.
